Description:
An interesting pot, no lid, from the Garrison pottery in Sunderland. The Sailors Tear verse within a hand painted garland and a view of the iconic bridge over the Wear (13 in Baker). The 'handles' are of lions heads with a ring in their mouths, sometimes referred to as Empire handles.
Circa 1820-40
Approx - 5.5 inches (140mm) dia x 5 inches (125mm) tall.
In very good condition save staining.
